Ana Carolina Vieira "Baby"

Ana Carolina Vieira Srour was born on November 19, 1993, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, into one of the sport's notable jiu-jitsu families — she is the sister of Rodolfo Vieira, an ADCC and IBJJF Hall of Fame competitor. She trained under Julio Cesar Pereira, founder of GF Team, rising through the belt ranks with world titles at multiple colored-belt levels before earning her black belt in 2016.

As a black belt, Vieira quickly established herself among the best in the women's middleweight and medium-heavyweight divisions, winning her first IBJJF gi World Championship in 2017 and adding further Worlds titles in 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2022. She has also collected multiple IBJJF Pan American Championship titles, including gold in the medium-heavyweight division in 2021 and 2023, along with Abu Dhabi World Pro and European Championship gold.

Vieira's biggest breakthrough came outside the gi. At the 2024 ADCC World Championship in Las Vegas, she won the -65kg division, defeating 17-year-old rising star Helena Crevar in an overtime final that finished 5-0 after Vieira used an arm triangle to pass to mount. The win made her an ADCC World Champion and, alongside her brother Rodolfo's 2015 gold at -99kg, gave the Vieira family a rare sibling ADCC-champion pairing. She and her wife, fellow multiple-time world champion Luanna Alzuguir, also became the first married couple to both hold ADCC titles.

Beyond her own competition career, Vieira co-founded Aviv Jiu-Jitsu, extending her role from competitor to instructor and team-builder while remaining aligned with GF Team. Her willingness to move between the middleweight and medium-heavyweight divisions throughout her career speaks to a versatile, pressure-based game built around control and submission opportunism rather than a single signature move.

As of 2025, Vieira remains an active, high-profile competitor, appearing in high-stakes invitational events such as the Craig Jones Invitational alongside the sport's other top-ranked female grapplers.
